In the 100-year horizon, we go to space and take along everyone we can: animals, plants, fungi and bacteria.

Things are not hopeless

We probably live in the best period yet available to the average human. This is not a reason for complacency. It is evidence that the world can change.

The project grows from a simple tension: our knowledge is enormous, yet as individuals and societies we still wander. Technology develops faster than our ability to choose a shared direction.

The goal is not a perfect world. The goal is a world whose future generations can laugh at some of our limitations, just as we now laugh at parts of the past.

The immediate objective

AI should lead us out of the internet and towards people, places and action.

A personal agent should not become another machine for capturing attention. It should help us find a team, a tool, a useful waste stream, a local problem, relevant knowledge and the next sensible step.

AI as connective tissue

Not one brain above the world.
A network resembling mycelium.

The analogy does not mean that a fungus has a central commander, or that AI should become one. It describes a distributed network that recognises conditions, connects places and helps move resources towards useful opportunities.

Explore first

Mycelium consists of branching hyphae that explore an uneven environment. They connect distant resource patches, rebuild links and reinforce useful routes. They do not plan the world from one centre. They respond through the network.

Then the right β€œfruiting body”

A fruiting body appears when local conditions and accumulated resources allow it. In this project, it could be a pond, biogas plant, cooperative, food module or laboratory. AI helps assess what should emerge first and what should wait.

Local freedom, shared memory

Every community retains the right to decide. The network offers comparable trials, materials, risks and people instead of issuing orders. What one farm or neighbourhood learns can become useful on the other side of the world.

Space begins here

A system that recovers water, heat and nutrients should work in a home, farm, city and disaster zone before it reaches orbit or the Moon. Space technology should first solve very earthly problems.

A simple rule of scale

One module should work independently. Ten should cooperate. A thousand must not require a single ruler in order to remain useful.

The first truly global cooperation

The most important AI models as a common good of humanity.

Not a finished instruction, but a direction: states, science, civil society, users and companies co-develop infrastructure that serves humans and the planet's other inhabitants.

Open foundations

Code, data, assumptions and limitations are open to inspection wherever disclosure does not directly increase the risk of harm.

No power, state or corporation should define the goals of the most important systems alone.

Humanity jointly defines the boundaries of AI use, protects free will and supports sustainable development.

Independent models can be audited and operated, while people retain the right to live without constant AI mediation.
